Hello everyone and happy spring to you all! So excited to start dropping some layers and sport some brighter colors.
These recent trends represent a wide range of different styles. Some are familiar faces, and some are brand new to the party. So, let's check out some trends for this upcoming season.
Balletcore
I have seen this trend all over TikTok and Instagram. Essentially the trend is "ballerina off duty" look.
This trend ties in pieces like leg warmers, wrap cardigans, bows, headbands, ballet flats, and lots of athleisure clothing.
I see this trend as a subcategory from athleisure considering that all of these outfits showcase comfort that can be worn on an everyday bias. I've also seen some evening wear following this trend by incorporating bow sleeves, ruffled skirts, and muted colors. It looks like trend is going to be one of the most significant trends of the year.
Denim On Denim
Along with the balletcore trend, I think this is one of the most significant trends for this season. I mean c'mon, who doesn't have a pair of jeans.
This trend takes denim to a whole other level!
Think about all denim outfits, embellished denim, exaggerated wide leg jeans, distressed pieces, and so much more. I am loving the two-piece sets and the contrast stitching with this trend. If you want to try out a trend, definitely try this trend out because denim will always be in style.
Moto + Racer Jackets
This trend is making a resurgence back into mainstream fashion trends. These trends have honestly been on trend for a few years now. This season seems to be a comeback for this trend.
You should definitely have one of these jackets into your closet considering that it makes everything look more bad*ss.
I love the look of pairing an oversized moto or racer jacket with shorts or a mini skirt and knee-high boots. By the way, someone let me know where I can find a good Ferrari jacket.
Metallics
This is an interesting trend for me. I personally would have never thought how metallic piece could be in everyday fashion, but yet again I was proven wrong.
I love that people with different styles can still wear this trend in their own way.
From metallic bomber jackets to joggers, everyone is making this trend their own. I'm also loving the different colors and how you don't specifically have to have silver and gold pieces. I would love to have some nice metallic pants for a night out.
Utility/ Cargo
I'm convinced that cargo pants are here to stay forever. They have become as common as leggings and jeans. I have also seen others incorporating jumpsuits and jackets into this trend.
The versatility with how you can dress-up or dress-down these pieces makes this trend even more amazing.
I am loving how adding a pair of heels can make this laidback trend look chic and sophisticated. I'm telling you, might as well make cargo pants and utility wear an official closet staple.
Ruffles + Rushing
Last, but not least, there is the ruffles and ruching trends.
These fabric altering trends range from a simple ruched tops to huge, puffy, ruffled dresses.
These trends usually reside more with evening wear and more formal occasions, but it is making its way towards everyday fashion. I love the look of a ruched or ruffled top with a classic pair of pants or jeans. These trends have also made an impact on wedding wear this season with puffy, white, ruffled dresses being everywhere. Very interested to see where this trend goes.
