My Trend Alerts | Spring 2021: Fresh Finds + Favorites

Hey!

I am currently writing this article after just finishing the "To All the Boys: Always and Forever" movie on Netflix. Ugh, so many feels and I just want a short film showing how they eventually ended up together with a their careers and everything.

Anyways, you came here for trends not teen rom-com opinions.

This is a blog series that I want to release seasonally to really highlight the trends that I actually like and incorporate into my closet. So here it is, my favorite trends so spring 2021!

Oh, and a colorful mask looks cute with all of these outfits too :)

Now where I live there is a very slim chance that I can break out shorts for the spring. I tend to lean towards more warmer trends during the spring. This year, there are many trends that you can repurpose for the autumn to the spring season. To make something more "spring" I try to wear a brighter color palette when I organize my outfits. Instead of leaning towards burgundy or deep green piece, I try to incorporate velvet pinks and light blues into my spring wardrobe. Anyways, here are some trends that I have hopped on or ones that I am loving for this upcoming season.

Recently, I have seen this clothing piece called a shacket everywhere! I was curious and I googled the actual meaning of what a “shacket“ is and it's basically a shirt that's thick enough to be worn as a jacket. I’ve seen shackets paired with many outfits on Pinterest and I've seen many of them being sold in stores like Forever 21 and ASOS. I saw this clothing piece emerge last year and I myself have bought a couple shackets.

This is the perfect thing to layer underneath your coat, but also a great outerwear piece for those who have a warmer spring season.

I feel like this trend it’s perfect for those transitional outfits going from winter to spring closets. I honestly think that everybody should have a shacket just because of the versatility of the piece.

Now, any neutral colored piece it’s always an essential in anybody’s closet, but recently I’ve seen so many bloggers and other social media Fashion influencers pair these tall white boots with different outfits. I feel like it’s really taking off for this season just because it is a bold but still tame trend to try.

I feel like it’s an amazing transition piece considering that they keep your feet warm, but the white can really make your outfits transition into brighter color palettes for the spring.

You can pair these with a pair of tights or pants, or when the weather gets warmer progress to pairing them with shorts or a skirt. It's definitely for those who want a more preppy and chic look to their outfits.

All right, so the famous blazer. Honesty, the blazer isn’t really something that I can work into my style. Now, the people who can make it work make it look amazing!

I’ve seen others buy oversize blazers and style them as dresses. I've also seen blazers being the statement piece and then having the top and bottoms be a neutral color. Now, the matching sets... those are *chef's kiss*!

Just like the shacket, the blazer is one of those transitional pieces that are an amazing piece to layer, but are also light enough to be worn by themselves to pair when April and May comes around.

This probably has to be one of my favorite trends for the season and it is the famous puffy sleeve/milk-maid top trend. This trend emerged a couple years ago, but it is slowly becoming a staple in so many spring and summer closets.

I love styling these tops with high-waisted jeans, high-waisted shorts, and maybe even underneath a pair of overalls shorts. If you want achieve that cottage-core aesthetic you need this in your wardrobe!

Most of my outfits very athletic and casual, but because of this trend I now style my outfits a little bit more romantic and flirty. Wearing these tops makes me feel like I should be picking flowers somewhere in France or enjoying a cappuccino at an Italian café. Anyone can score a cute look with this top!

Last, but most certainly not least, I want to talk about this trend that has been here before all these other trends began to walk. I'm talking about the monochromatic trend.

I love this trend so much because I love seeing how people pair different pieces in order to have a cohesive color palette as an outfit.

I personally love a nice blue color palette or a classic beige or tan color palette turned into an outfit. I love how all these people have styled this trend every single season. For the spring, many people play with pastel color palettes, but however you style this trend it will make you a walking work of art.

Thank you for taking the time to read and consider this article. This honestly fun putting all the pictures together and honestly get some fashion inspiration for the upcoming spring season. Camille
